Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 25, 2026
Serjeo is a custom jewelry studio in Boston. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit serjeo.com or contact us through the website or by email.
Information you share with us
Our contact form asks for your first and last name, email address and message. Your phone number is optional. We also receive any details you choose to include in your message or subsequent emails, such as design ideas, photographs or appointment preferences.
We use this information to answer questions, discuss your jewelry project, arrange appointments and keep track of our conversation. Please share only information relevant to your inquiry.
Information collected when you visit
Squarespace hosts this website. It collects technical information, including your IP address, browser, device and network information, and the pages you visit or arrive from. This helps deliver and protect the website.
We also use Squarespace Analytics to understand visits and improve the site. Information may include pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, searches and visit times. Squarespace processes visitor information for its own purposes as described in its Privacy Policy.
Services that process information
We use the following services to operate the website and handle inquiries:
Squarespace: provides hosting, analytics and the contact form, and stores form submissions in its contact-management tools.
IONOS: provides our email service. Form notifications and correspondence sent to serjeo@serjeo.com are delivered and stored through this service. See IONOS’s Privacy Policy.
Google Maps: displays the studio’s location on our Contact page. When the map loads or you interact with it, Google may receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, and use cookies. Google may associate this information with other information it holds, depending on your settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Google reCAPTCHA: helps protect the contact form from spam and automated abuse. It processes information about your visit and interaction with the form for security checks and uses a security cookie. See Google’s reCAPTCHA data-processing information.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety or the security of our services.
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses cookies for essential functions and security, and Squarespace uses analytics cookies to measure visits. Embedded services, including Google Maps and reCAPTCHA, may also set cookies.
Some cookies last for a browsing session; others remain until they expire or you delete them. Squarespace documents analytics cookies lasting from 30 minutes to two years. See its cookie list and purposes.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect the form, map or other features. The site currently does not offer an on-site cookie preference control, so optional cookies may be set when pages load. Blocking cookies does not prevent all technical information from being sent to service providers.
A browser’s “Do Not Track” setting does not stop all measurement: Squarespace can still count page views, although how visits are counted may change. See Squarespace’s explanation. Providers of embedded services may also collect information about activity across other websites, as described in their applicable privacy disclosures.
How long we keep information
We retain inquiry and correspondence records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, manage an ongoing project or relationship, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the inquiry and whether it becomes a project. Information held by service providers is also subject to their applicable retention and deletion practices.
Questions and privacy requests
You can contact us to ask about your information or request access, a correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Depending on the laws that apply, some information may need to be retained.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to our business, you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your information, objecting to or restricting certain uses, withdrawing consent where processing relies on it, or contacting the relevant privacy regulator. Contact us using the details below to make a request or raise a concern.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can review and address it.
Updates to this policy
We will post revisions on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice on the website and any additional notice required by applicable law.
